Snowstorms are natural weather occurences in the countries of higher latitudes. These snowstorms have benefits to ecologic existence, and it may have disadvantages, but only to the inconveniences of men.

However, in Beijing China, snowtorms have been created artificially. According to China Daily, Beijing Weather Modification Office had artificially induced two storms in november by seeding clouds with chemicals, a practice that can increase precipitation by up to 20 per cent.

The artificial snowstorm created a mess out in peoples lives, according to some china folk whose lives have been so disturbed by flight delays, traffic snarls, cancelled classes and other inconveniences of a surprise snow storm. They said that officials could have sent warning before a snowstorm so that they won’t be bothered so much by whatever reason BWMO has.

It was reported also, that said snowstorm has not only created hassles to residents but it did a far greater devastation in 2005. Chloride, the snow-melting agent was responsible for killing 10,000 trees in Beijing and decimating 200,000 square metres of grassland. According to Zhao Nan, a Beijing engineer, the excessive amount of this snow-melting chloride could “erode steel structures of buildings”.
