Apple Rumors: Another Tablet In The Works!

apple_new

Apple rumors have been spreading again that Apple has something unique currently under modeling. And that something is called Apple Touch Tablet.

Apple’s touch technology is expanding into a larger spectrum of devices – particularly tablets – and some sources even claim they’ve seen the tablet thing, but no hard evidence is available, at least for now!

It would be great if indeed we see the Apple Tablet come with two cameras. A front facing webcam for video conferencing/chat and a rearward camera capable of nice still shots as well as video.

The rearward facing camera of the Apple Tablet would be great for snapshots, like you use your iPhone’s camera for, but also for augmented reality apps that are just starting to come to fruition on the iPhone

However, we’ll confirm this when the tablet first comes out of the gate. We’ll just have to wait for the announcement at this point to see what really happens with the Apple Tablet.

This has long been a rumor and now it’s finally here. Google is all set to launch its own Android-powered smartphone Nexus One.

Google is geared-up for the press conference on Tuesday, which marks the debut of the much awaited Google’s first smartphone, Nexus One. As it is Google’s first time to market such phone, the expectations set upon the mighty search engine company is relatively high.

Let’s take a look at its features (sources courtesy of Wired and Engadget).

1) Nexus One was designed by HTC, which has a close relationship with Google.

2) It has a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi connectivity, accelerometer, compass and proximity sensors.

3) The phone is also told to be extremely thin — slimmer than the iPhone and HTC’s Droid Eris.

4) 1-GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7-inch 480 x 800 display, 512 MB of of RAM and an expandable 4-GB microSD card.

The 1-GHz processor alone should make the Nexus one of the fastest smartphones available currently. says Wired.

5) Powered by Android 2.1, the latest version of the operating system, which is reportedly to be snappier and have an improved user interface.

So far these are exciting features that one would expect from Googles first smartphone, but there’s not much to compare it with other smartphones, except of course with the speed and memory capacity. But shouldn’t that be the two most important things?

How Apple iTablet May Work?

Apple iTablet and iPhones, a perfect pair
Apple iTablet and iPhones, a perfect pair

It may seem very early to tell about this just before the actual launching will commence anytime in the first quarter of 2010. But it would still be a good thing though, for us to evaluate how this rumored iPhone-like tablet PC really works.

Apple iTablet is one of the newest products that people have been talking about lately. As shown in the CES 2010 Exhibit, the latest gadget seemed to be catching a lot of attention, probably because primarily it’s Apple, and you can get to use this side-by-side with your iPhone. It’s also lightweight, weighing only less than 2 kilos and is probably thinner than the Macbook Air (i hope).

One of the most passionate advocate of the Apple iTablet so far is a grad student from Georgia who posted some of his insights or “knowledge” on how an Apple iTablet really works.

IPhone Sets A New Trend in Controlling Androids

ROBOFING

Who would ever thought that anybody can make an Android walk, run and jump even without having to create that robot? Adding to the IPhone vs Droid debate, IPhone is now capable of controlling androids with simple movements of the users fingers.

This new technology called ‘Walky’ was developed by Keio University in Tokyo especially designed to control androids. “More specifically, they’ve created an interface that puts control of a bipedal humanoid robot right at your fingertips.”

“Walky” makes use of an IPhone’s screen, enabling the robot to move with the simple movements of the fingers. Traditionally, controllers like joystick.paddles and buttons were used to control video games and remote-controlled gadgets and robots, but they do not necessarily have natural relations that’s why they are difficult for first time users.

However, “Walky” uses simple commands that even newbies can get to enjoy this new technology. To operate “Walky”, using the index and middle finger will make the robot walk, tapping the screen makes it jump up and down, and a flicking motion with one finger initiates a kicking motion.
